Crochet a Mini Octo

Location: Oceanside Art Collective (Oceanside, CA)

Date: Monday February 2, 2026

Time: 5 PM - 7 PM

Cost: $40/person

In this fun, beginner-friendly class, students will learn how to crochet an adorable mini octopus from start to finish. We’ll cover the basics of working in the round, single crochet stitches, increasing and decreasing, creating tentacles and adding eyes. Students will also practice stuffing, shaping, and finishing techniques to bring their mini octo pal to life. By the end of the class, each participant will leave with a mini octopus friend and the skills needed to make more at home.

Crochet a Love Bug!

Location: CoLabCrafts (Escondido, CA)

Date: Sunday February 8, 2026

Time: 2 PM - 4 PM

Cost: $40/person

Create an adorable Valentine-themed crochet bee in this fun intermediate-level class! This project is perfect for students who already know the basics of crochet and are ready to build their skills through shaping, color changes, and working in the round. Ideal for those who have previously taken Crochet Basics or Start & Stitch at CoLabCrafts. Recommended for ages 10 and up, with prior crochet knowledge required. You’ll leave with a sweet “love bug” and new confidence in your crochet skills!

Crochet a Loaf Cat

Location: CoLabCrafts (Escondido, CA)

Date: Sunday February 22, 2026

Time: 2 PM - 4 PM

Cost: $45/person

In this beginner-level crochet class, students will learn how to make a Loaf Cat amigurumi from start to finish. This class is intended for crocheters who already have basic skills, including chaining, single crochet, and reading simple crochet patterns. Ideal for those who have previously taken Crochet Basics or Start & Stitch at CoLabCrafts. 

Instruction will focus on working in the round, using increases and decreases to shape the body, maintaining even tension, and assembling and finishing an amigurumi project. Students will also learn how to add basic facial features and details to complete their loaf cat.

By the end of the class, students will have a completed or nearly completed loaf cat and a better understanding of fundamental amigurumi techniques that can be applied to future projects.
